Popular teenage Nigerian thriller author Nnenna Nwokoro better known as Nenny May exclusively opens up about her life as a Nigerian fiction author.
At nineteen, Nenny who has already become a Google verified personality, admits to writing despite knowing that her audience wasn’t within her reach. She was aware of the saturated market in publishing in Nigeria when she released her first book, Missing at eighteen years old. She was going to become yet another Nigerian author, beneath the shadows of her successors. But Nenny rose to the challenge.
Relying on knowledge obtained from studying law in Baze University, Abuja, Nenny began writing legal and psychological thriller novels that have drawn in an international audience.
Taking it a step further to release her second book The Perfect Father without an editor, proofreader or graphic designer, Nenny who is a self-taught grammatical and structural editor, graphic designer and proofreader has inspired many with her determination and independence. Her brand as an independently published author has made her quite the notable name in her country, and a good influence to many around her.
But she doesn’t stop there, anticipating the release of her third novel Miller Avenue Murder in September, Nenny confesses to owing her success and fame to her roots.
